My home computers (laptop and desktop) won't load the Marks Swapmeet site, giving the "internet explorer cannot display the webpage" error. I'm using bigpond and using standard internet explorer settings (I'm assuming this as I'm not a big techie).
The site never worked for a long time, then started working for about a month recently and has now stopped working again and none of the settings were changed? Turning off all internet security still doesn't work. It works fine at work.
Anyone have any ideas?

Try a different browser.
Firefox is free and is better than Internet Exploder...

Thanks, tried firefox, but still didn't work. I'm thinking it must be a bigpond issue, but it's all we have out here >:(

Here Bish click on this and tell us what happens.

Still no change, i've even made it an always allow site under the privacy tab in internet options in explorer.
The following shows after I try to log in.
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
What you can try:

I am having some similar problems with Dead Dog racing and some pages of ebay US - it is understandable where I come from as the company informs me it is because of the way the connection is routed - for me it is through China as I have no problems from home through Thailand. I wouldn't of thought you would have a problem with Bigpond but if so I would get them to check the connection???

Ho probs connecting in Unzud (home of the world rugby cup)

Bishboy you are not alone. I can go for days where I cant connect and then mysteriously it fixes itself :o :o. I use Chrome and have tried clearing cache etc to no avail. I have no problems from work so...... ;D ;D I get the same error message as you do. Same problem on every computer in the house so I just assumed the website has problems with my IP address but then takes pity on me after a few days ??? ??? You can try sending Mark a message asking for help from another IP address and see what he thinks the matter is. Good luck
