Very cool.. it's loaded with trick bits and even appears to have an aftermarket frame and forks:)
-
how cool is that !
Must have been a big pile of leftover CR bits when they finished ;D
-
Every day there's a little touch of magic on OZVMX 8)

I see it's a B model with a genuine 'optional' alloy swingarm :-)

What are your thoughts on the geometry?

Now that's an expensive fuel tank LOL

Here's a repeat showing of Jonesy's Hagon TT500. When we spoke to Martin Hagon he rattled off the few different monocoque variations they built but the only Suzuki I can recall him mentioning was an SP/DR 400 powered unit. That RM's an interesting piece of kit, is that the engine it started with?
(My apologies for the hijack)

Firko thats the real deal , a kid had one when i was racing schoolboys :) that one that simon has posted is unreal in the flesh 8)
Rod and Simon have done an outstanding job restoring it , im sure they told us they had restored another RM 125 version .
I dont imagine Alf made many 125 frames but there were a few, i think they were sold out of Vic Eastwoods shop in Kent.

I'm sure there was one featured in Classic Racer early this year Bill....same one maybe?
-
Yes there is one featured in issue 16 of Classic Dirt Bike mag exactly the same..
-
The one in featured in CDB has a DG gold head and a few other differences. It was also on display at Farleigh this year.
Don't know how he did it, but Rod was working alone when he restored that one. His attention to detail and dedication are amazing.
I'm very interested in building a replica of the '76 DG racer posted here though. Not much chance of finding an original in the UK, or the USA for that matter.
-
im about to start on a similar bike, but a 76 YZ based version not CR. and i will be using standard frame instead of a DG frame. Got most of the other bits tho, cant wait :-)
