Could be back to home stills pumping out high octane vege oils folks!
-
in ten years time i think my body will decide that for me anyway.

Nice bit of market conditioning from Caltex there.... Tell us that we'll have to pay $3.5/litre, and then we won't bitch and moan too much when it gets to $2.50/litre....
If petrol went to $3 tomorrow, the direct costs would hurt, but wouldn't really change my behaviour much.
What would be the killer, is the way it'd significantly increase the cost of everything, due to the increased costs of transporting stuff around the country.

In ten years time I'll be 68 and driving an electric wheelchair most probably. I won't care.
-
in 10 years time, even at $3 a litre, petrol will still be cheaper than bottled water..go figure :D
-
I was in Norway last year and petrol was that already when converted, its a reality for Aussie eventually, ditch the V8 while you can!
-
All we need is a Moonshine still in the back yard ,enough to go racing on sunday and just a liitle to go a drinking and a dancin on saturday night,
-
AH what the hell .....we will be in the recession we had to have and interest rates at around 20% ......sound familiar ;)
-
Buy a V8 or better still a V12 jag . that way you pay for the extra motor oil they consume or leak.
Get a 500cc bike whilst your at it. Hang it , get a bunch of 500's. And better still get a 500 husky , they leak oil like jag's , dont want get caught be an underconsumer now do we.
You only go around once so you might as well go as fast as possible.
Oh ,also get a four wheeler to tow the 500's , they suck it down better Linda Lovelace did in that old movie.

We just signed up to export $20 billion worth of LPG to China to run their cars and industry,While us suckers continue to be ripped off by the big oil companies till the last dollar can be made. Why don't they make it more attractive to sell more LPG cars till another alternative (which the oil companies now buy the rights to and put in the bottom drawer or shredder) can be found? Market forces and Politics = Tax $'s
Now if we throw away all those ugly vintage fuel tanks and replace them with 12 kg LPG barbeque gas cylinders, and.............................!
-
ahhh...LP eh..wonder if they'll make a fat/skinny type LPG tank for desert racers ;D ohhh.. just had a vision :o gas bottle between the legs conjures up horrific premonitions :D

Alcohol, can drink a bit, mango juice as mixer is better than orange... The other two will kill ya heaps quicker.........

When petrol hits $4.00 a litre I'm dragging out Dad's charcoal burner.

Stuff the greenhouse gases, I'm going to the races.

Did that the last time petrol went up. Got so pissed went and bought a Cadillac with a 425 V8 for the daily driver. If it keeps going up I may have to bore it to 500 cubes and put a 750 holley double pumper on it.
Still can't get it to use as much fuel as my old 351 ute. Might have to look into it more.
These are the twilight years of running big V8's so I'm making the most of it. Our poor grandchildren will never know the pleasure of sinking the foot into a big block V8 and watching fuel gauges go down quicker than the speedo needle go up. My Buick Riviera will do the standing quarter mile in $10
The powers that be will not break me and force me to drive a 4 cylinder. Death before a Hyundi.
-
Nice one Crash man
May i suggest extractors with the double pumpers and lets get it breathing.
Long live the consumer
I had a Cadillac when i was posted in the UAE and shit that baby could suck the gas , got rid of that after six months and got a Mustang , bit disappointing the Mustang , granted it had way better performance and style but shit it was too fuel was efficient.

Yeah, the Caddy gets 13 mpg with the aircon on flat out. I hate to think what my ute gets, maybe 10 max. I should probably wire the secondaries so it runs all four barrels at once.
I tell the greenies that I'm doing my bit to get rid of greenhouse gases. The quicker I can burn up all the fossil fuel, we'll then have to find an alternative. They're not helping by riding bicycles. We have to get rid of that stuff fast and the only way is to use it up.

Very good! That's a new one for me ;D.
