You should have bidded higher, then you would have won it. ;)

Or I could get my hands on that tricky automatic bidding thingy and out bid by $2 in the last 5 secs.
How would that work if everyone had it could all the computers go pop ? ;D

The ironic thing is that I was going to ask you to pick it up for me if I won it ;D

I hope whoever got it doesn't part it out

I would have picked it up for you Mainline no worries , I didn't really want it but there was only one bid for a week [ yours I expect ] so I put one in out of interest.

Ahem !!  I wasn't wingeing about NOT winning it , I was making comment about a program called "AUCTION SNIPE " which allows you to put in a bid in the last seconds $1 or $2 dollars higher than the max bid.

Mike i know its to late in this case  ::) but bidnapper is available to everyone  :) www.bidnapper.com sign up and away you go . It cost SFA and you only pay if you win , its very user freindly  . The reality is if you want somthing bad theres really no alternative . Its another ebay subsiduary  ::)
If too bidnappers have equal top bids lodged i assume it would go to the first bidnapper lodged  :-\
People say to me "i dont use that shit and still win stuff " whitch is right but a manual bid will not out bid a BN one.

For the minimal fee its a little insurance  :) Of course you still have to have the highest bid  ;D

You can tell if someone's using one of these  thingys because of the brilliant timing.

If a manual bid will not out bid a BN one, but what if the manual bid is higher.  I don't make a bid until the last few seconds, no point jacking up the price early.  Then because I don't have the time to rebid I come in with a bid that is usually the top dollar I would pay in a heated bidding war plus a twenty on top because I hate losing by a dollar.  This has worked without fail, except for a couple of occasions were something went for stupid money and I walked away from it anyway.

If the manual bid exceeds the BN bid then it will win. BN notify you if the item price exceeds the snipe bid before the auction ends so if you have time you can up the snipe. BN offers the chance to put the 'stupid' price in then walk away from the auction and not get involved in the theatre. Because BN doesn't bid until late and only whats necessary then the item value isn't driven up by auction fever (bad if you are selling!).

yeah I looked into it.  Bidnapper is good if you are not familiar in the art of bidding or you can't be bothered hanging around for the end of the auction.  Myself, I like the blood pump, the strategy and the last second bidding to win.
