Title: Montesa VR and V75 common parts
Post by: Tahitian_Red on October 12, 2011, 03:02:08 am
I'm trying to find out what parts are different between the VR250 and the V75 250.  Because of the suspension upgrading I would think the frame, swingarm and front forks would be different, but are most other things the same?

Frame, swingarm, seat, pipe silencer, front forks have about one inch more travel. Oh yeah, tank stripes are a different
colour! that's about it...

The seat and the forks are all I have to worry about then.  Is the V75 seat the same as the VA?

Jared,

Is the silencer different or the whole pipe?

Same pipe, but the silencer on the V75 is part of the pipe. Early VR's (73') had a straight
head pipe. 74' and later had a tapered head pipe.
