Hey Firko,
Check the November 2011 Jody's Box.
He writes, '"Okay, I fess up. I do over-rev bikes and have been known to ram people, but I have never raced an AHRMA vintage race in my life. I wasn't at Sand Hill that day and the last Montesa VR250 I raced was brand new (because the year was 1974)......
Nice to know Jody reads your stuff. ;D

Red-I've just read Jody's Box in the November issue of Motocross Action. An interesting read, some people ;)
should learn to STOP with the bullshit as you DO get caught out. Guru hahaha ???
GEORGE :-*

That's interesting, if it wasn't him it was someone who looked a suspiciously like him. It was most definitely Tim Tolson from Dirt Bike though. I'm not going to get into a he said I said argument over this...I wrote what I thought was right.
If I'm wrong and it was someone else...I'm sorry Jody, I fuc*ed up.
Thanks for the advise George but as far as the guru bullshit....I absolutely hate that stuff and dread the day Eldridge started calling me that but George, are you just on here to lay crap on people or do you have a positive contribution to make? Just a thought.

I just thought it was interesting that he knew about stuff from this discussion board. I thought he should have given Firko credit by name.
;)
His attitude about vintage racing, in his writings, has ticked me off over the years. He has a PHD in the study of "Old Folks", he'll laments about his Father and the fact the man never saw him race, has had many articles and editorials about the early years of racing (the riders and the bikes) and wears white Alpinestars Hi-Point boots. He is the one who seems to thrive on things from the past and tries to teach the younger generation about the history of our sport, but we are the silly ones for racing old bikes.

I always thought you were the Guru of Love

Yeah Jay, International stardom....not. ;D I suspect somebody sent Jody the post, a bit like my previous international stoush with Rick Doughty. The funny thing that sticks most in my memory is the bike in the trash can and the leopard skin seat on Tolsens bike. Maybe it wasn't Jody (as I was told it was) but the situation was still the same. Dick Mann was pissed off bigtime. >:(

Oh don't bring up the Doughty thing. I posted something in that thread and got a phone call from him the next day. ;D

He is only jealous that he doesn't feature on a Siege T-Shirt…

I stopped reading MXA after Bazza found god. Never could take to Jody. J
