I bought this bike in boxes off a guy who had pulled it down about 16 years ago, bought a heap of new parts off of Lyall O'brien which you can't get anymore and left it at that.
It has heaps of new stuff on it including new blue/white Works Performance shocks (not pictured here), GMC pipe, billett plate holders, cables, levers, bars, recovered seat (leather), airbox and carb connector, side stand and heaps of other new bits. New guards. New brake bits and shoes. Tank has a coating of fiberglass on inside so it'll never leak, has new fuel taps and fresh paint and stickers. Fresh piston and new bearings through the bottom end.
Bike starts easy, runs well, shifts easy and is fun to ride.
Comes with:
Original pipe (A1 cond)
OEM bars
OEM grips
Spare bottom end
Set of correct tank stickers
Rod kit
Blank sleeve and any of the other bits that I have for it which I'll throw in.
The only thing it needs is a new kick starter 'cause the spline on this one (not the shaft) is rooted and I'm not chasing up one just to sell it.
This bike is not from my era so I don't ride it a lot. I prefer my balls below my navel and these older bikes are just a little too muck work on the tracks I ride on.....
So I WANT $4000.00 for the lot (there's a lot of stuff there you just wont buy anymore) or
swap for a really good '83/'84 250.
Credit Card accepted......

Hey Ross,
Is an '83 H7 250 enduro of any interest to you? I have a fairly decent one just sitting around doing nothing.
Cheers,

As I recall those H7's were pretty fast, & pretty tall too.
-
sure looks pretty but do they go ?
-
That was the beauty of these bikes Freaky. They were pretty and they did GO. In '74/'75 these things were as popular as any of the big four these days (at least in Vic). Lightweight, good handling, reliable (as long as you did all the things you still have to do today) and a very workable motor.
Yes Geoff the H7's are bloody tall but I know of one Yank that has a similar frame as an MX'er and it's the duck's nuts!
However the thought of Vinduro is very appealing too......

I thought the H7 were the MX frame :-\ - or as close as.
-
Weeeeellllll. I think your right as the VG 250 (81) was the first with that type of frame and without seeing either bike, I'd assume that they are the same. I think the enduro has a bit of a loop that goes over the rear guard however that's about the difference. I think. Maybe.
-
Frame loop correct, centre stand, steering stem lock and a couple of minor brackets here & there, but otherwise same as MX frame. I have resisted the urge to convert to MX specs on many occasions. Photo's on the way via cyberspace, Mr. N.
