Apart from the YZ 400 D front end she is all KTM , shame they take the front ends of these girls to make CCM copies , mind you the original front ends were not that great and if anything the YZ front end might be better, the front brake surely is.  ;D

I'm sure it is , I don't know exactly how much these cost with all the bling. I do know my 77 KTM 250 cost me about 5k with out labour and given that I can do heaps more than most blokes and have access to CNC mills sand blasters etc. But I love it as most parts are new it works like a new well prepared bike and it's the fastest air cooled I have ever ridden.

Thats something like I want but in a 490. I already have an 81 KTM 250 for the evo 250 class. Nice cheapish bike thou even with $1,200 transport costs added.

Why not PM what you would sell it for. I prefer to buy one without shocks so if you can use them on something else can you exclude them from the cost. What type of ignition is on the bike?
Would you trade a 81 250 KTM?
