A mate(well an acquaintance really) ((no actually he rides an outfit-so what does that make him??))
Anyway, the poor bugger has an Elefant (Cagiva) and it needs a flywheel/maggy or something and he can't find any bits.
Anybody got any ideas??

Wadda ya mean "poor bugger" ??? Lucky bugger , more like..... ;D ;D
Do you know what model it is? There's a mid 90's E900 being wrecked in Germany at the moment and eBay in Europe will be his best bet anyway. Otherwise talk to your local Ducati dealer who will know what Ducati models use the same engine and then start searching wreckers for one of those.
Or he could just spring for new bits. Tell him not to forget his heart tablets for when he gets the bill though! :D
Maybe get him to email me and I can send him all the links I have for Elefant info.

A lot of Italian bike like Ducatis, Guzzis etc use common stators/flywheels/rotor across many models made by www.ducatienergia.it Have you tried the aftermarket yet?
I would be trying Electrex www.electrexworld.co.uk or Horse Power Ignition www.hpi.be
If you can post some photos of what it looks like i may be able to give more direction. Is it internal rotor?

Ok, i just checked HPI and if its a 750 or 900 elephant and assuming their list is correct then its the G92 you want
http://www.hpi.be/applistlist.php?writeimg=G92&select=G&clr=c
or go to Electex UK, go to generators and look at G92 and Rotors look at RO92 ( would not let me post the direct links)
Also these places specialise in Italian electrics

The Elefant was a badge engineered Ducati. All the Ducati engine parts will fit.

Thought that would be the case. You wont have any problems getting the electrics then. I would personally go with brand new aftermarket than used second hands bits that may not end up being as good as they should be. Eg weak magnets in the rotor. Then you kow what you are getting but if you can get something second hand real cheap then i guess its worth a try. They appear on ebay fairly often. There is a fair bit of info on the Italian alternators on the web if you look. There are different versions. Narrow, wide, single phase, 3 phase high output etc etc.

Ok Now he tells me it's a W600?? don't really know waht that is but he needs a flywheel-I think the magnets fell off. I have asked for more onfo.
