what is ther best ignition to go on these bikes there is a problem with the motoplat that is fitted at the moment

My 53m works fine on the stock gear the 33m has a later model breakerless setup proberly off a VR it works fine too

Any of the later Montesa Motoplat electronic ignitions will fit.
Crank taper is all the same. Motoplat from the 74,75 and 76 250 mx
models would be your best bet. You will have to weld a tab to mount
the electronic coil.
