O.K.,
I must be going mad, doesn't a pre '90 cr 250 come with an idle screw? 1987 to be exact.
How is the idle set...please all you Honda guru's.

Does anyone have a 2 stroke motocrosser idling? They don't come with an idle screw..

Yep, This is about the only one that I have come across that doesn't allow for some kind of engine speed adjustment when throttle is backed off full. I don't want it to be able to tick over for hours at a time, but some run on when the throttle is shut and clutch pulled in. It currently stops dead as a doornail when the slide bottoms out. I have never come across a bike that does that before.

They should have a idle screw buts thats 2 bangers for you,all you can do is adjust the cable but then you have no free play on the cable ???
you dont see many 2 strokes idleing on there own steam at the start gates

The rm 250 83 models dont have a idle scew as well ???
or change to a later model carb evo55o

Have a good look around the choke Knob, I think the flat side on my 125 is adjusted by turning it.

the SnowMan is right.
both my 86' and 85' models have idle adjustment by turning the choke knob, and i turn the 500 up so it "does idle" helps me from the compression lock into corners if i don't get on the clutch quick enough.

Yeah you guys are right, i just had a look at my '89 CR. I was thinking of my '84 RM250 that doesn't have an idle screw.
