Is there such a thing as a state (Vic) or national race number register?

John if your talking about the VMX scene in Victoria there are two clubs. Victorian Classic Motocross VCM or Classic Scramble Club. When you join either club you can request a number. If no one else has grabbed it first it's yours for 12 months. Helps for obvious reasons if your the same number if your in both clubs. Hope that helps Jerry. PS Dont knock off #151 thats mine!

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. My roadrace number is 89 and my Veteran's MX number is v61. I think my RM125B prefix is 'Z'. Better join a club hey? :-)

Go to the VCM website. Everything you need is there. While your there talk to someone on the committee. I'm sure they will be very interested with your efforts at Brodford. Cheers J

John, we find that if an old sidecar has a number on it when we buy it, it's not a bad idea to try to keep it with the outfit-kinda like a boat name-bad luck to change it. It might also help to keep track of them. Prob sounds like shit but it keeps with the 'history' of it all.
As far as personal plates go-if you have a 'new' bike, it's good to put your stamp on it especially if you have some 'history' which it appears you have :).
If it's the same as one you raced years ago-put that number on it. Good for good memories. :D

Jerry there is also Viper and we issue numbers to members when they join we try to give people a number that they have with VCM as most race both.

Humble apologies Marshall I forgot to mention Viper. My face is red! Cheers Jerry
