Hi Bultaco fans, Can someone please tell me if its possibel to change the shift lever to a Left hand side operation on pre 75 Pursang engines. I think I have seen LHS shifting engines around so I was wondering if its a simple conversion. Thanks

I am 650 Kim's north west of Adelaide till then at my new job and may not have phone service but you can try. My number is 0418503079.
Regards Stan.

Kev,
Peter Schoene used to offer it as a service & I imagine he still does. Required sending both cases to him; welding a boss/collar on the LH case for bush/seal, then line boring to suit later LH shiftershaft

cheapest way is to learn how to change with your right foot!
-
Just done my M103 without too much hassle.
I'll take some photo's when I get chance.
-
Thats a hanging offence doing that to a right footer in the uk cranky, there is two guys in the north would kill for right footers ???
-
It's not irreversible.
I don't struggle with the right foot gear change, just the left foot panic breaking :-[
-
Suppose they'd shoot me for the later clutch cover also ;D
-
Dont worry about it cranky,i failed to get to grips with the left foot on montesa and cz so stayed loyal to 74...360 Bulto which when fettled and set up right where good for three seasons without any major probs... cheers
-
Was never a matching numbers machine anyway so wasn't overly concerned ;D
-
And don't forget, most tracks run in an anti clockwise direction so with a RH gear lever you're able to have more free access to change gears into and through a corner, than with a LH setup where your foot might be hitting into the dirt. H'mmm.
