It's getting even better, thanks canned ham. 8)

Wow, you have a library of them Canam ... :)
Here's a pic of mine. It's 113mm in Dia. if that helps.
I have also taken a pic of the local Suzuki dealer in the area (Mildura) from back in the day (Bayliss Suzuki) ... just to keep in "theme" .. ;D
...I have just realised 76 is possibly a year too early for your B model... but you could modify it to 77 easily enough.. :)
Click it for full size... hopefully it works.. 8)

That would be awesome fellas.....just goes to show how much knowledge there is on the forum, was there like a "BP" sticker aswell?

I have some BP bunting tape and a silly cardboard sunvisor from a BP sponsored car rally of the day if that helps. i think they are generic BP not rally Qld specific.
Shit I collect random shit :D :D :D

Ha ha, I have the sew-on patch from the '74, looks the same as later badges.
At 17 and 9 month I rode my TS185B from Frankston to Hattah, on L plates, to the '74 event, AND RACED; no luggage or tools, I rode with a friend, who also raced on a DT400B, we slept on the side of the highway in our leathers & helmet.
There was all this hype about bikes running lean on the needle and seizing after running flat-out on the salt-flats, when I was flat-out on the salt-flats my TS started slowing; I thought 'fark I seized it!' but the rear tail light had dropped off and the wiring loom was getting wrapped around the rear wheel, LOL.
I was running second in the 'up to 200 trail class' when I got a rear puncture (with a trail tyre - bad news!), had to ride the last 100k loop with the flat, ended up finishing 10th.
Had to bot a lift home to Frankston, what an experience!

That's a great story John-young blokes these days wouldn't beleive you :D :D But that is how it used to be for some of us.

I'm sure looking at your 'random shit' would bring back some awesome memories :-)

I didn't intend to keep it for that but then again maybe I did :D

I remember doing a "hare and hounds" in the Rimutakas, rode my new DT400B to the event, got 3/4's of a lap into it and she stopped (water in the ign), got towed back by a XL350 Honda that blew 3rd gear, rained the hole farken time....ofcourse it started when we got back to the start, rode home, got pulled up by a traffic cop on the way home....he didnt like my homemade rubber headlight brackets, but I said, hey, there the latest trick, fad thing to do.....told me to hurry up and get home and clean the mud off the thing (he couldnt read my number plate)....I would have been 16 years old.....it was friggen cold too......argghh, the good old days.

From the BP website you get this,
(http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/IT400C/BP/SSH_brand_logos_enlarge_570x110.jpg)
So in 1977, you should technically be using this (darker colours and vertical letter font)
This supposedly only came started being used in 1989 (brighter colours and angled text font)
BUT - these are from what Ive seen on some "old shit" of mine laying round (and from my memory), I think there may have been a transitional logo in the 70's.
Older style shield and vertical letters (this is from a 1972 MX poster)
but with newer, brighter colours (from a 1973 sticker)
Have I confused the issue now???? ::)
Oh, and btw, the shield shape is based on a US Highway Numbering sign...

Oops just dug out my old cloth-patch, I was there in '78 (I shoulda realized that I couldn't have ridden a TS185B in '74 der!).

Thanks for posting that, brings back memories :-)

If I could get the measurements of those decals that would be great fellas.
-
Heya Davey, the round one I posted up (76) is 113mm in Diameter.
I will scan it tomorrow night and throw it up. I will try to get the scan set at 100% of original. (not sure if I know how tho)
Hope that helps.
