Title: MX125b clutch
Post by: Barclay on August 25, 2011, 03:05:40 pm
getting alot of mixed answeres about the clutch on a MX 125b .
bought a set of plates ,turned out to be DT or AG plates .the ones with the sepperation rubber rings in them .
just worried about the little racer smoking the cluch, as the plates fit ,same thickness just surface area is halved to make room for the rings.
Its killed one cluch in its day so looking towards its life span.
Thing dosnt mind putting a plug out either ,any tips on jets at seal level would be great .she is running stock jetting at the moment with the bowl lowered and an expensive plug seems to be working .
thanks Boots

I worked on ag yamahas doing my apprenticeship,Bloody years ago though,I was thinking we used to remove those rubber rings & toss em in the bin & that they came off easy :)

oil seals can go , its just to make it smoother.

JEtout the book and then work from there to your own liking.  if there smoke coming out the back youll be fine ......

Ditch the rubber, don't worry about the surface area, go ride.
