I suppose it all started at CD 8 with me and a mate checking out the primo stuff around the camping areas. He started talking about his brother who had raced a Bultaco in the 70's and how he wouldn't mind getting a Matador to do some vinduros that are coming up so we started looking for Bullies and found quite a few excellent examples.Shiny chrome, polished alloy, silver frames, red and yellow slimeline tanks,"mmm these are quite nice" I thought the seed planted and germinating.Today I find myself cruising the internet (not in that way ;)hunting out Bultacos, casting my eyes over various models, wondering how a boat tail could work on a motocross bike, agreeing with the critics that the MK 7 is perhaps the best looking MX bike in the Bultaco lineup......But how can this work?A right sided gear change?a gearbox driven by a chain not a primary gear??As someone whos garage attests to an allegiance to the great Communist east block tractor factories I find myself yearning for the Costa del Sol....Is it too late for me...should I defect???Are the works lightness, agility, handling overused???

The M120/121 was 'the end of an era' bike, the M103 looking and handling very similar.
All ultra light (for proddie MXers) and torquey for their dispplacement, with perhaps the best handling of any 70 MXer.
You won't regret it.

"Farewell and adieu to you, fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu, you ladies of Spain. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston. And so nevermore shall we see you again."
Once they get under your skin resistance is futile! ;D

Yes they are a nice bike.I think the m85 alpina is one of the nicest looking bikes I have.I was/am??? going to cull some of the bultacos and montesa I have;but which one I can not decide.Ahh I too am lost.

They're more than the sum of the parts. Much more.
Like most of the euro competition bikes of the era, there's a certain synergism that's almost mystical.
Ride one & you'll soon see. You probably won't stop at one.

I have but one regret.
I sold my Bultaco's.
