Yup it's a 300.

I am thinking if the subframe snapped off, the frame wouldn't be real flash either, more like the head stay has ripped the top end off :-\
-
It ran for a bit at WFO so I doubt the head stay pulled off or damaged the head but it may have been a factor.
-
Yeah i had another look, the piston does appear to be a bloody high in the barrell, whatever it's a bloody expensive hillclimb ;)
-
I thought these modern fandangled things had inbuilt rev limiters on them so they could not self emplod :o
Expensive day out .
-
doesn't look like it got that hot, by the way the head is punched up my money is on the old Austrian rod trick. ;D
good opportuntiy to slip a TT500 motor in there.

Philistine! TT500 motors belong in Profab, GMC (shamelss plug) or similar vintage Husky frames (if the orginal motor is rooted of course).

Think it free revving on mid air then hitting the ground caused the failure. Still impressive to say the least easily qualifies for 'Blow up of the month'
