Has any here used a reed spacer before?, and did it do anything?
-
Of course, but where are you talking about placing the spacer before or after the reed cage?
-
After the reed cage, to increase the distance between reed cage and cylinder.
-
Has the effect of increasing case volume, shifting power up the rpm range

Thanks Lozza, I kinda have to fit one in order to have my airbox boot fit better (moves carbie back by 6.5mm :))

Hey lozza is this your " for sale " ? was this your 'IDea" from the other post ?

I recently fitted V force reeds which came with a qtr inch spacer and fitted that to space the reeds out from the cylinder, the info said this was to allow a better flow into the upper intake port? , but they have made a huge difference to the bike. Compared to Boyesens they are night and day. I don't know if the spacer added any power to the bottom and midrange, but the whole package really makes a bigger smoother hit.
