It's a nice lookin' little bike. But for 10K I would want more than a repainted stocker with an alloy tank, cone pipe and replica swingarm.
Now if it was a Type 2 RC replica that would be another matter all together…

Bit more too it than that you'll find Jeff, modified frame with rake changed to works specs, NOS rims , replica works forks internals, extensive engine porting, modified carby to factory specs, pipe on mine is a pressed pipe, fibreglass airbox, alloy swingarm, replica works rear shocks and the "repainted" part is just stunning, and i'm asking 8.5k not 10
(P.S I also have the Type 2 RC , but its no replica :-\)

Scott Steger has built some awesome bikes over the years and these Marty Smith replicas are up there with the best of them.
He also does a type 2 replica but i think this model looks better.
According to some on here you can't build a bike for under $10,000 so i think at $8,500 it's good value ;D

What Scott charged was the real cost of building a bike to that standard, far better than new, whether it is a 125 or 500 still costs the same.
I have seen very close to those figures paid for bikes that couldn't hold a candle to Scotts work..... you have to see one in the flesh to get the quality. I would love it but building my Triton at the moment.

Just been surfing the net RC.... This bike is prettier than the type2, but i noted the type 2 exhaust port exited on the Right Hand Side of the cylinder, where the RC125 was in the centre. The replica of the RC125 exits on the right. Anyway That Replica is awesome... The tank alone is $1495 without Paint.

I thought only one Type 2 survived and ended up with Terry Good. Again, happy to be wrong. Would love to see some pics though.
