Title: IT/YZ490 complete airbox wanted

I'm after an airbox for my IT490. Haven't had much luck finding one so far.
I reckon the YZ490 might be the same design,if its not, it would be close enough for me to bodgy something up.

Sorry John, I don't know what one looks like.
I bought this bike with the whole box removed,and in its place an airpod.
If you have 490 parts,I'd hazard a guess,and say they would not've changed too much over the years.
I'll have look for a fiche somewhere on the net.
Maybe some IT/YZ490 owners on here can help with the id of it.

I'll see if I can find a parts book picture myself and if it looks right I'll send it to you too see if it fits.....

OK, I have just checked what I have and they are a 23X incomplete complete assy which is 83 YZ490K and a 40T YZ490L 84 model complete assy, now if somebody knows if they fit we should be home and hosed. What model do you have?....Where's Jock?

IT and YZ airboxes appear to be different. IT250 and 490 of the same years will interchange though. Contact this guy, he looks like he's parting out an IT490.

Thanks for that tip Adam,but the guy won't ship o'seas. I also tried the wrecking hotline for bikes,and came up with nothing.
I don't need the airbox to be period correct,or for registration purposes. It seems every time my son and I go riding it rains,and with a pod on the carb I'm not confident of riding near any water,and I end up spending more time drinking than riding!(Not too bad an excuse,aye?)
The model I have is the '83 IT, John. Hope somewhere there is something that fits.
