Anyone watch the Isle of Man story on " Sunday Night " on 7 .

A pretty good interview I thought - not too sensational. Apparently there is a full length special later this year - Nov?

It;s a Special place and a Special race ;) 8)

17yr old boy child, Born and Bread Motorcycling MX/SX Australia thinks they are all forkin mad!!  ::)  ;D  Geez they was movin though  :o  :o
Have to add meeting up with Cameron Donald and a few other crazy TT winners to my "Bucket List"  ;D
Excellent show 10/10.edit=This was part of a TV doco,so never got up close and personal like the whole "Closer to the edge" movie

Last Friday a few mates and I booked our accomadation on the Isle for next years event . Can't wait ;D

Its on again and thanks to Tossa for the dvd. Barry Sheene wasnt keen though Guy Martins totally wiped out- Crazy red flag riders.  :o

You have to to see it to believe it. The speed they race around there is just insane. There are no speed limits out of the towns and up until quite recently you couldn't get a speeding ticket but you could be charged with "driving furiously" as I found out! Still, as long as you have a nice bike and act humble the police are the best you'll find anywhere. A good bollocking and away you go.

Tragedy at IoM: ACU statement

ACU Events Ltd regrets to announce that Japanese rider Yoshinari Matsushita, 43, was killed during the qualifying session at the 2013 Isle of Man TT Races in an incident at Ballacrye in the North of the Island....

The session was immediately red flagged following the accident.

Yoshinari, from Saitama in Japan was an experienced racer who first competed at the TT Races in 2009. As well as competing regularly in the Superstock and Superbike classes he also finished 5th in the 2011 TT Zero for electric bikes. He was also 2008 Motegi Endurance race winner.

The ACU wishes to pass on their deepest sympathy to Yoshinari’s family and friends.

Gary Thompson, MBE, Clerk of the Course, ACU, commented:

“Yoshi was a really popular competitor who had a large number of friends in the TT Races paddock. He was a genuine and friendly character who always had time for everyone. He will be sorely missed.”

The Coroner of Inquests has been informed and an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.
