Am buying some car parts from the US, $1200AUD here from the dealer and $400USD from Seattle, and I was pleasantly surprised at the postage quote:

Priority Mail® International Large Flat Rate Box [More info about Priority Mail® International Large Flat Rate Box]
USPS-Produced Large Box: 12" x 12" x 5-1/2" or 23-11/16" x 11-3/4" x 3"
Maximum weight 20 pounds.
 6 - 10 business days $58.50

The boxes are always the go if you can get ya stuff to fit in it.
