Can some one tell me the outside fork tube dia, and the over all lenght of these forks
Thanks

35mm. I could not tell you the length but they are supposedly the same as XL250. I have the measurement of those somewhere if it helps.

Well so far so good 35mm dia,is there a difference in the lenght, between these era's
-
yes the 75 76 are longer and have a different top no nut like on the 73 74

The CR250M fork staunchions (chrome sliders) are longer by around 2". Both are 35mm as previously mentioned.
It's a good XL250 mod if you want more travel on the front. Everything is interchangeable between the CR250M (73-74) and the XL250 K0 (72-73) forks.
Only other obvious difference is the external speedo cable mount on the RHS.
Best person to ask for exact length is forum member Nathan S , as I just sold him a set of CR250M forks and I do believe he has XL bits as well to measure against. ;D

oops sorry .... I meant Stan S , not Nathan S ..... :-\

I have my 73/74 250m in bits at the mo,the forks are still together, unladen(I.E. topped out) they are 820mm from top of fork cap to the bottom of the axle clamp :)

Thanks Guys looks all good I can fit the forks as they are the correct period.
