Cool Foss, "see ya at the skids"
-
At close of entries they only had 55 entries. Things must have changed since I helped do the programs etc,I think they might need classics to help fill in the day let alone 2 days.
-
Time to pull the leathers on Ian, I'm ready.
-
Does anyone know how entries for the King of Nepean meeting this Sunday are going, is it still going ahead ???

how did this dirt track meeting go lads????
-
yer come on how did it go? hope the modern bikes have not rooted the track for the charity meet.
-
Track was sloppy wet Sat. morning but dried out sufficiently to get things rolling at about 1.00 pm. Track was then excellent for the rest of the weekend with no time loss from watering. The track still appears to be suffering little wear and tear after 2 days of flat-out action. The full results are probably on the website by now. All I noticed is that everything was won by kids!!!! even though the side-car boys were grown-ups!
A bit "P****D" off by the slider being banned from the King of Nepean final. I'm keen to check the lap times!
There was an unfortunate incident with a junior rider injured and transported by careflight. We all hope for a speedy recovery.
Over-all a great days racing with Penrith Club well represented as officials and riders. [Along with some other Nepean msc member clubs.]
cheers pancho.
-
By the way, I wonder who was behind the rule change in MOMs that resulted in the fastest bike at the meeting on the day not starting in the King Of Nepean?
-
what do you mean the penrith club was represented well.it was a st george meeting,as for the sliders make the rules as we go.

Ya had ta be there Jim.... Two sliders turned up for scrutineering with only one brake fitted.
So one rider Qualified in the heats for the K.ofN. riding a 250 [I believe] chookie.
The slider riders burnt the midnight oil to fit a second brake but were protested in advance so could not ride the much faster slider in the final. No doubt we should all scrutinise fine print... But!!
SO... why the **** did this 2 brake rule suddenly appear back in the M.O.M.s???
Thats my understanding of this unfortunate state of affairs.
Will we end up leaving the bikes out of it all and have the finals a duel of rule books at throwing distance.
cheers pancho.

WALLY
the 2 brake rule is back in mine will be 2 braked but i will only use 1 at a time
they have realy stuffed up the slider gcrs, there are people who want sliders baned all together
jim
-
What do you need brakes for Jim ;D
Sliders are definitely on the outer and it's a disgrace.
-
protested - hope the money/paperwork changed hands.if not them it`s not a protest.
read sup regs, the king of nepean was open to unlimted senior solo motorcycles.
as for the two brake rule pancho a classic slider is ok in it`s class but if you entry in a modern meet it must meet the rules and it looks like the rule changed this year as it is in bold print in the moms and old rule has a line thru it.sliders are the new sidecars.(leppers).let me guess not a enviro matt anywhere in the pits.( sshhh!! modern only)

how long until the st george mcc take over the charity meet. it would be good to see some of the showbag money go to a good cause
