need a front sprocket cover to get me through scrutineering
at the next race !! :)

They wont pass it with out it?
Modern mx bikes remove and race without them even at national meetings

The rule is widely misunderstood, particularly among VMX-oriented scrutineers.

You should go and have a close read of the rule book, and take it with you to scrutiny before spending any money.

The front sprocket cover is only needed on those bikes with a large gap between the sprocket and swingarm pivot where you can fit your hand in. I think the rule book states the minimum distance between sprocket shaft and swingarm pivot where a cover is needed,

thanks for all that info guys, already had the bike pass its first inspection at the latest
heaven round and passed ..they said if u cant fit 2 fingers between the sprocket and swingarm
then its all good but id really like to race it at the connondale classic next month and ive
got no idea what rules they have in place  ?? ...
