Yamaha sports plaza USA.
I just had a play and look around for part for my 125J resto/race. shipping seemed quite expensive?. a few nuts spacers and hand grips had shipping at just over $100 US?
Is this right.I have not been to the local dealer yet to see if Yamha Australia still has stock.Like I said I was just playing around with the site to get an idea. :-\

I have been charged as little as $16 (usd) for that much stuff.

12 bucks should cover a pair of grips and some nuts and bolts. NEVER take a high shipping estimate for granted, the USPS online calculator which many sellers use to calculate shipping fees is legendary for its inaccuracy.

Thanks guys!
Have you all found the new Yamaha parts cheaper from USA than Aus?
Ive just contacted local yamaha dealer and unfortunately they cant print out all avaliable stock for a particuliar model .You need to look up a part at a time.I will be making them a list

Yeah, be careful with postage from US. The $100 would be for Fedex (which you don't need).
Postage is either priority (like our registered) or first class (like our normal mail).
Most US folks will do a standard package pretty cheap. I've never paid $100 postage form the US yet and I have had rims and all sorts of things sent.
Many times the parts from the US will be cheaper as our dollar is good value at the moment 8)
ALWAYS ask the question about postage ;) As oldschool says the postage calculator is usually miles off.

How can the USPS online shipping calculator be off? I ship tons of stuff to Australia and New Zealand and charge only the
actual shipping rates as supplied by the USPS rate calculator. Any thing under 4lbs is pretty reasonable. Over 4lbs and it gets
expensive. When I take packages to the post office, the charge is alway's the exact amount that was calculated online.
Now, Ebay's postage calculator is another matter!

The eBay one was what I was talking about.

As VMX247 said speed and sport are my favorite, Cindy is the nos parts manager if she can't get it for you its going to be a long wait. Also try Beach Yamaha , both have quick turn around time and reasonable postage . ps they have no dt/rt1 stuff ,if they say they do its mine ;D

Boats.net is cheap for shipping and there OEM prices are at least half of Yamaha aust
