For those so inclined there is a good chance to see if dirt bikes have really evolved much in 30 years or so. Husaberg are running test days that you can register for and take a 4 stroke Berg for a fang around an enduro loop somewhere near you. You can register on the Husaberg Australia website. Cost $25 plus need a MA license or else buy a day license to ride at the park. I am going to do the Wyaralong trailbike park test on 8 August. Other venues in other states also. Not sure if the park is open to public yet but hopefully can take my vintage Husky's for a run also. Should be interesting...... ;Dmmmm disc brakes ::) ::)

Correction - Saturday 6 August. Conondale Classic is on that weekend - damn should have checked first ::)

Don't do it. I made the mistake of riding one of the new Husabergs. Made my 07 525 seem old.

I've a mate who rides an Xr400 and flat out refuses every single offer from others to have a go on their more modern bikes.
As Crash and burn said, the fear is there that once the ultra modern is experienced his trusty XR will feel like a POS.
These ride days on Bergs although I'm sure would be awesome fun, would make anyone's bike feel very ordinary.

Yeah, those new Husabergs handle unbelievably. Just point and shoot. The boys in the shop were telling me they make a bad rider good and an average rider brilliant. I figured sales must be slow. But when I rode the 450 it was just look where you want to go, twist the throttle and you were there.

Yeah i've never ridden a better enduro bike than the latest Husaberg.. so well balanced, easy to ride, brilliant handling and feels so light with that new engine. :)
