Title: Motoplat coil

Does a '70's Motoplat ignition require the correct red Motoplat coil or can a Japanese coil be substituted?

hi expat , substitution possible except if it is a motoplat electronic

Well.... guess I will try and see what happens.

Reason I asked before trying Jap coil is because the Motoplat is not mounted yet .
