Title: Big Bore

I have be thinking about this for a long time now, about buying a big bore pre 75 or pre 78  what is the answer to my choice, what do you think l should look for. any ideas and why should l consider your choice.
I will consider everybodies choice and what they commend on board to deside, I want your opinion.

I prefer the KTM 400 myself but there rare , just as good if not slightly better than the Maico motor wise and it doesn't break ( yeah I know Maico lovers will say they dont break but they do)

RM370 for the pretty boys.
Maico for the cashed up pretty boys.
KTM or Husky for swarthy eastern European immigrants.
Yamaha for the rest of us.

I would have to go with Hoony  :) RM 370 or Maico 400 for pre 78 and a Maico 400 for pre 75  ;) Im not familliar enough with the other Euro stuff to have an opinion  ???

Yamaha SC500 - all the "faults" are easily rectified with todays knowlege.

I could be very easily talk into a Husky Auto 77 MX a very underrated bike IMO. If you cant hole-shot on one these gems and work your way backwards your not trying.

Step foward a few years & scare the pants off yourself with a KTM 495. Or is absolute terror NOT what your after.

cost you a fortune in keeping the bobbins up to it.

But dot buy a basket case, buy something that is together and in riding condition!

you might ride it then!
