Looks like not enough nominations for a classic Dirt & MX committee for MCNSW
Any theories why is that the case?
-
Lite the fuse and stand back?
-
Didn't know there was one proposed, I'd put my hand up.
-
Ditto
-
bump
-
Most likely reason would have to be people didn't know about it.
And I'd dare say that this is due to a communication breakdown in the relevant clubs.
-
communication maybe the problem nathan s and the knowledge that there is a committee with in mnsw.
-
That's right Nathan, that NSW club the 1 we're not allowed to bag
wouldn't want a fair minded person on the committee. But you
can bet their committee knew of postions vacant on the classic
committee. As a member of such club I received no notification.
As I've stated previously VMX in NSW is so far behind the other states
and it will only get worst. >:(

Haven't they always had a rep position at the council meeting/mcnsw for Classic ?
I didnt think it was a new postion just a yearly or third term postion..?
cheers

It is not much good complaining about what our local controlling body is or is not doing without putting a case to it.
I think Nathan S is pretty right.
A problem with todays busy lifestyle is that most of us have so many different demands on us that monthly club meetings are not a high priority. This is where this information is available and discussed.
That is why when personal contact doesn't occur except at busy events, these problems and opportunities are not discussed let alone seen.
Because of this, good newsletters circulated to members individually is very important to the continuous development of our sport.
Obviously this costs money [in postage etc] and more importantly requires a person who can and is willing to dedicate the time.
All of us who rely on our clubs to provide us with the support needed to go racing or whatever should try to attend our club meetings, after all its only once a month and it shows support for the club executive.

I agree pancho, however it is made to be very difficult when
your club conducts it's general meetings at riders briefings
on race days and even then it's when it suits the committee.
By the way I hear the Vice President has had enough of the
decision making and recently resigned. Will this position be
replaced? ???

george i belive that magoo (rip) and other members of that club where in the mnsw committee at some stage.
how many more clubs would of not table the info at their club meetings too.
-
micks I don't know much about the past as I've only been a member
for the past 2 years and don't get to all the race meetings therefore
it is impossible to find out to much regarding general business, but I
am informed that the vacant positions on the MNSW Classic committee
have not been discussed with the membership.

hi guys my name is GREG,i am as far as i know still the vice president of HVMX.So wat i would ask is ring me on 0429805096 and i am happy to try to help with any problems,i cant help if you dont tell me or put your complaints foward at the meeting at LAKES,but what i will ask is to talk to me or maybe CAR Lbefore any more bad comments about our club are put on this site.PS DONT THINK THIS IS TO MUCH TO ASK IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY RING ME CHEERS GREG
-
I thought they were talking about the "other" club, I was wrong.
-
One of the advantages of the demise of the 'one man one club' rule is that participants in the sport have the opportunity to attend other [clubs of which they are also a member] general meetings,if they feel their core or original club is not conducting conventional meetings or can't efficiently put this type of info out there for some reason.
It seems that most participants in our sport are financial members of more than one club because they can ride in an event by joining that promoting club anyhow.
By attending various or some other club meetings good ideas can see the light of day as well as other opportunities for input in the sport at all levels.
A wise person has said "If it's to be, it's up to me."

hey Pancho,what happened,didn't you get enough votes ???, :P
-
Apparently there was not enough nominations to form a quorum.
I wonder why that would have been? Some sort of dis-satisfaction?????!! lack of interest??
