Hi Mike,
they sold a lot in the UK, but don't think they were ever imported into Oz. (could be wrong though) ::)

Might go and have a look Tony , could be a IT 125 . Yum Yum.
-
;D either way, it could be nice - how much is it advertised for?
-
$700 I think , the paper is at work so I ,ll have to go in . Damm. :'(
-
;D
Let me know what it is and what condition... could be interested either way...

i've heard of em too!
mostly a UK thing i think but i doubt there'd be much difference between a 175 and the 125.
the bigger top end should just bolt straight over anyway.
my guess is the 175 didn't fit into thier class requirements, so the 125 was born.
just a guess.
price is right

I think they were for the 'Schoolboy' class in the UK - i.e. Junior Trials - I think the schoolboy class was restricted to 125cc, hence the TY125.
From what I've seen, they were more road oriented than the TY's we got here. More like a TY175JC compared to the TY175C.

Yes not sold new in Australia here but some have been imported second hand to Australia. Some European countries (France, Germany) didn't get the TY175 when new but did get the TY125.
