Title: Nepean this day. 22 5 11
Post by: pancho on May 22, 2011, 06:44:52 pm
Spent the day at Nepean today working on the grid.
Perfect weather, perfect track great racing.
Good to see the old BWP blue diamond colours out in force, with some promising stars of the future on show.
Went looking in the spectator area after getting a tip and went looking for a young bloke named Len Searle.
I saw this bloke and he said the young bloke was gone and only he was left!  Great to have a chat after a lot of years.
Unfortunately I saw the most spectacular get-off I've ever witnessed today, I really feel for the two involved and hope they come out of it alright.
By the way...where were all the slider riders? only 2 turned up for a perfect track.  cheers pancho

Alway's sad to hear there was a serious get off.
Love the Blue Diamond.
A hectic working life has restricted my involvement over the last few months and my trip north for the Titles will be an escape if nothing else.
How come you weren't riding Wally?

I meant to add, Lenny Searle is a great bloke and doesn't look a lot different.
Good to see he still gets out there.

Does anyone know how the two young blokes involved in that monumental get-off last sunday are doing? Did they both get admitted to hospital, are they still in? Whats the go?

All of the above. Thoughts are with the young blokes and their families. My first time out there and had an absolute blast. The track surface is amazing and that first corner was great looking forward to riding there again.

I probably should Wal but its the weekend before the titles in Bris.
I think I'd actually get more track time on a practice day, I have to play around with jetting and stuff.

I'm fairly sure no practice day at Nepean on the 11th because it's long weekend
