I know that bike and owner and have raced against it. im pretty sure its not a genuine EML. they copied one and built their own. it won the 24 hour in 2004 and that was the same yr i got 5th. the same bike has won many other trials too. Its not actually that quick, our TT 600 beats it in a straight line drag.

ok i was told it was a copy. im sure the owner said that, but your probably right if you know the frame. he says its a 94 model on his listing so that would make it impossible for you to have imported it in1990  ::)

anyway i know they had lots of trouble with the rear wheel. im not sure if it still has, but it had a KLX 650 rear wheel and it wasnt a very good pattern, (not many crosses) he insisted i build it with stainless spokes but i said what would happen if SS were used for this application. he didnt listen so i laced it with SS spokes to make them happy. a rear wheel collapse during a 6 hr made them DNF. SS spkes dont like rocks! They had used other wheel builders before i did it and they had the same problem. eventually i think they went to standard steel/zinc plated spokes and/or changed the rear hub as they had no more problems.

there are heaps of these things around so you maybe confusing it with another bike?
