Title: Yamaha front brakes experts
Post by: Slakewell on May 17, 2011, 09:05:33 am
I have two Yamaha front ends in my KTM's , Now I have some new EBC shoes that seem wider than the shoes on the bikes plus they don't fit in the grove on the backing plate pin are there slightly different sizes of Yamaha shoes?

Sounds like you've got rear shoes from an early YZ125 (or any of a zillion others).
The pivot pin on the front brakes has a shoulder in the middle, and a matching groove in the shoes. This is to stop the shoes sliding off the pin.
The rears don’t have this groove.
