What’s your views on shades of black for a hub?
What looks ‘right’?
What were most hubs normally?
-
satin black always looks the goods
-
Viva la difference 8).
Gloss for the 'bling' look; satin OEM or racer ;).
(But NO black rims under any circumstances ;D)

I agree - the 83 CR I had had been done in gloss - didn't look right.

I've tried all different shades of Black Geoff, it depends what bike it is. The color I like the most is VHT barrel paint p/n SP-906 satin black. It looks better than gloss and has that "original look" to it. Do the backing plates aswell.

Satin all the way. I've done a few in gloss black - even when the cosmetics are totally non-original, gloss hubs still look odd.
FWIW, the gloss black front hub on my DT1 is frequently mistaken for a Husky hub. I guess that gloss black hubs would be OK on an old Husky.

Satin in almost every situation....never, ever gloss.

satin "its all about style"

Whatever happened to Matt ;D
Looking through Legendary Motocross Bikes and 7/8 are Satin and I'll go with what D Crocket said "It depends what bike they are on" !!
You gotta get high on Kent Howerton's 80 RH250 page 111.quote:Thats the way I liked it. 8)
