why do these characters get so damn lazy that they can't wheel the bike out, away from the fence, and take a flippin photo from the other side?
would be an interesting ride...

Yes I agree. I've seen pics of GTHO's and E49 Chargers where the scummy pics where taken down the side of the shed and you can't see shit. Just that little bit extra would help huh.

I'd say PE400..3 bolts on the mag cover, the RM's has only 2, the wires come out the front on an RM and toward the rear on PE400. RM mag cover also has an indent where the PE is full round and the PE cover has SUZUKI cast onto it where the RM has the big S ;)
late edit..the motor actually seems to be fitted half decently even if the carb rubs on the rear shock...pipe looks nice from what one can see and no doubt custom made but the motor is the most desirable part and no doubt some PE400 punters would be most upset seeing one wasted in a late chassis :P

when i get time and money. i want to get a PE 400 or 250 motor and put one in a 81 RM 250 or 465 or a RM 500 chassis. ive seen it done before and wouldnt be too hard to do.

Compared it to photos I have of my old PE400 and I will say it was a PE400 engine, no question in my mind.
