This would have to be a real one of a kind in Australia.
I know we have very few of the mid 80's water cooled Maicos, even less 250's and surely no others that were ADR approved which are still around.
Given how few were brought in, I can only guess ADR's were a littler simpler back then.
Price is very cheap, but the thing would need a bit of love. Cruising down the street on this legally would be very cool though.

There were a few around at the time I was doing the enduro circuit I think Ross King was importing them? Not sure what year they stopped but by 88 there was none.

Being complete is always attractive ;)
Since 2005 I have noticed about 5 come up now.
Those who rode them at the time reported, the 1986 model finally delivered rear suspension that was as good as the front?

I have one in the shed waiting for a rebuild. The plate says its a 11 month 84. It has a ohlin rear shock and doesn't have a rear disc brake like this one.

Not bad value, needs some lovin. It's listed as an 85 but it's an 86. Rear disc wasn't there until 86. Maico did funny things with their compliance plates to get them regoed here. My 84 SE is stamped on the compliance plate as a GS400. I was going to have a bid but that means I would have to sell my KX's to fund it.
Wonder what the reserve is.
