Like to see it get through customs without the AS (or equivalent) sticker. If you get the seller to state that it is “used” you may get lucky.

$50 head, $50 helmet.

You don't need an AS or DOT label to get into the country. The manufacturer can send them as Compliance or R & D. The problem is dodgy operators send them over and sell them on Ebay or at the markets and then some poor person or child dies as a result because the product is not certified or tested to AS/NZS 1698.

The Can-Am (quad) dealer in Toowoomba gives away two helmets with every one of those buggy looking things for the kids.
Those helmets come in black only and a a replica of the Marushin/Aria the we rode with back in the eighties, they have a 1698 sticker and a plastic/resin face cover that clips on. In short, ideal for what we do in VMX as they are identical to what I used to wear-only hiccup is that he sells them for $50.00 so you don't even get $100.00 worth of coverage for your head-unless you buy two.
