Hey guys only new here but thought you may like to see what I have been working on. The idea was to give this to my brother for his 40th birthday from our family. I aquired the bike early February 2011 in several boxes and it had to be finished by the 18.4.11 I made it just.
Basically a total ground up rebuild, rebuilt crank, new seals and bearings throughout fresh rebore and piston.
How it started

Then around 75 days later

This one was built in the pool room.... it was one of the only places I could build it and keep it a secret. Its going to go into my brothers lounge room.

Very nice I think I may buy a 79 mx80 because I had one so much easier to restore than my gt80 because of the road gear the gt80 is a lot of work.
Here is mine I have got the wiring all in now bar my nos ignition coil which I may have lost in a move to our new shed and my handle bars are on and speedo working my exhaust is also sprayed and nos guard fitted. ;)

I know what you mean about the road gear. I have a TY250 Mono with compliance and had to spend alot of time to get everything and get it regoed. Now I'm looking at it and thinking it may get a full resto soon.
