Sorry to hear that , how old was he John ? wouldn't have been 40 yet would he .
Condolences to his family .

Wow, he was way to young.
Must have been quick, he seemed fine at the Coolum Nats at the end of last year.
Vale.

Yet again we mourn the loss of one of motorcyclings best riders. Broomy was a character, and a more 'normal' pro mxer you would not meet. i had the priviledge of knowing him at his prime, andhe always struck me as an extremely hard worker at his chosen sport.Deepest sympathy to his family at this sad time. Broomy would have been 35 i reckon, and was now a qualified firey.

Every kid has a dream to win on their best state track..Paul's dreams where reached in 2004.A friend has a signed jersey to match. 8)

I personally met Paul for about 10min and that was only about 6 weeks ago, sadly he wasn't at his best.
Over the last 6 months I've got to know his father, John, quite well as he & Pauls mum Bev were staying at a mutual friends property near Bringelly, to be as close to him as they could during his treatment.
I only found out how heavily involved in our sport Paul has been a few weeks ago.
If Pauls parents are an indication of the person he was then I'm sure we've lost one of the goodun's.
His mum was with him every day over the last few months.
RIP mate.

What a really sad loss. RIP Broomy.

That is some pretty exalted company to be sharing a winners board with, more than a few national and international champions. God speed Paul.

This year is off to a great start (NOT), Broomy, another champion bloke regardless of his riding talent gone way way too young, funny, kind, most NON self absorbed man i have been privalidged to spend time with ! Fought his health battle with such strength & would'nt mention how bad off he was, to his family & loved little kids we share this tremendous loss. R.I.P Paul, miss ya mate

We all have odd things to deal with in our lives, “its character building” we are often told.
We can complain about that sore back or bung knee and curse not reaching our potential, but the fight to be great pales into insignificance compared with the fight to stay alive.
It sure sucks to be crippled by these bloody odd diseases that we never seem to know exist until they take someone from us.
35, way too young.
RIP Paul
