Hi All
Looks like I may need to find a new piston and rings for a rebuild / resto on an RM 465Z
I was told it had a recent rebore but opening it up told a different story
Currently on 0.50 - Can anyone tip me in the right direction in buying a .75 (I am assuming this is the size) piston & rings as I am a bit new to this caper
Cheers

Rocky Cycles do a .75 o/s kit. Not sure if you can get the rings for them separately. They come up on Ebay pretty regularly. Not sure what they are like, mine is in transit from the US as we speak. I think it is Vintage Suzuki that can get Wiseco kits made in a variety of sizes too.
I am learning the art of RM465 love too, doing up an X model, it appears to be a bit of an orphan, at least your Z parts cross reference with RM500 parts as well which adds to the possibilities.

wring the nice man at CIRCO QLD 07 33 62 660, IT WILL BE WORTH THE COST OF A PHONE CALL, WOSSNER AND WISECO ARE BOTH SOLD AT CIRCO AND BOTH USE SLIGHTLY OVER AND UNDER SPECS THAN THE STD OVERSIZES, YOU WILL GET AT LEAST ANOTHER 4 OVERSIZES, ALLWAYS USE FOSSIL 2 STOKE OIL ON RUN IN, ESPECIALY ON FORGED PISTONS. ;)

Thanks - worth the call!
Just spoke to Alan & Craig at Serco and they advise that a Wossner Maico 490 piston will fit straight in and comes in an 87mm bore (same stroke as the RM's 80mm) my current bore is 86.5mm (86 std + .50 OS)
Cost $238 for the full kit
I would be keen to hear from anyone who has used a Maico piston in the RM 465 to know if there are any pitfalls?
Cheers
