Trying to fit 250C forks to my 250B and noticed that the 250B forks are turned down to 35mm at the top. So I can either bore out the top clamps to 36mm or get a C clamp I suppose. Does anyone know if the B front wheel /backing plate etc will bolt straight up to the C forks?
-
yes it will all fit just mill out top triple 1mm
might have too root around with whell spacers at the worst ;)

Thanks for that holeshot.

Your front wheel will fit straight in as the B & C bottom triple clamps are the same, although fitting the forks will make it illegal for pre78.

Well spotted ;). Certainly dont rock up at the nationals with it.

Hi, can you put in RM 125B 1977 FORKS Into the RM 250B AND STILL BE LEGAL FOR THE NATIONALS? AND WHAT ABOUT PE175C FORKS WOULD THEY BE ALLOWABLE WITH 9" INCHS TRAVEL? CHEERS PETE

Yes RM125B forks are almost the same as 250C forks and are perfectly legal for pre '78.

May i ask what you're going to do with your RM250B forks? I have a 250B currently fitted with 125B forks, I always said that if I were able to get hold of a pair of B forks I would like to fit originals.
Are you interested in selling.
PM me so we can discuss.
Located in Brisbane.

Thanks for the offer PMC but I will keep them for now.
I was under the impression that the 250C forks were regarded as a "follow on" item and were allowed in pre-78. But really have not looked into it that far. I know the C forks are different to the C2 forks.

is it possible to bring PE250B forks up to RM250B SPECS ie travel? AND WHATS THE BEST WAY TO UPDATE PRE78 FORKS ???
