Title: Lower plastic fork protectors

Has anyone ever removed these plastic lower for protectors? If so what is the trick to it? Any help appreciated.

Heat gun or hairdryer.......don't over do it with the heat -warm it up  gradually . Get a small piece of wire and flatten one end like a screw diver & remove sharp edges while it is warm slip the wire up to break it's seal ( be patient and take your time )
