Long story short. Got offered a mostly complete, running YZ250G for $200. (Sight unseen)
Went to have a look, turned out to be a YZ250H. When I say it's in very bad condition, that's an understatement.(Will post some pics when I can)
BUT I got it for $150 so I'm thinking that's OK.
Now what the hell do I do with it????????????

I'm looking for a H model rear wheel!!! ;)

If your going to wreck it I know a mate who's looking for some parts.

I know the pain 666. I sold off all of my KLX stuff a few months ago. Last week I bought another one ::) ...
If you've got no love for it, I reckon you could make some money out of wrecking the H - for $150 you're not gonna go backwards!
*Puts hand up for the frame if you do wreck it*

Even though it's a bit of a basket case & I know there's a good arguement to wreck & breathe life into many (Organ transplants) but I think it is worth saving.
From what I can tell most of it's there, numbers match. It is suppose to be a one owner up until recently. (Not that that matters much)
Single front brake but from the parts catalogue the twin brake was an option or maybe just later in the run. (I have spares anyway) The 43mm forks are there with the correct top tripple. Haven't inspected the actual forks but did see a few pitted rust marks up top but still had original boots on. (Stuffed though) Original swingarm bolt missing and a long coach bolt is in it's place.
The expansion chamber is snapped in half & it's sidecover missing. Seat rough, doesn't appear to have any cracks in the frame.
Original guards, front restorable, rear kangaroo edward (Rooted for our OS readers)
I have heard of guys restoring much worse but all in all I think it's salvagable.
The only thing is when do I get the time?
Nathan, I hear you bloke. Way back at the start, just after I bought my YZ250F, I sold an IT175F with rebuilt engine, (Use to run the engine in a 125 frame & try & compete in the 250 class) spare top end rebuild, sh*tload of spares including tank, seat, original front guard, crankcases, electrics, etc. etc. etc. For $1100 dollars because I thought "Why would I ever want a bike like that again?"
More fool me as now I would love to do Vinduros and she would have been the perfect bike for that.

If you do split it up 666, I can use the crank cases and clutch assembly Iain 041 308 1291

Ha ha, just buff it up and stick in the lounge room, the kids will love it, the missus will hate it.
