As a side note this event will be run as an open MA event and one day liecnces will be available on pre-entry!!!!!

This really is a great event , and the format is one i would like to see adopted at NZ events :)
-
The way things are going, I'm gonna have to build another shed to house my "international" VMX collection.....hey Mutch, your a builder.....you might have to come over a week early and do some banging. ;D
-
AND sidecars for the first time/yahoo!!!
Best I get a nice big engine into the Wasp for Tite and TM Bill to have a go on. Will 1000cc be enough boys or would you like the max 1300cc for your lardy arses??
-
Were in :D 1000 will be enough for Joan to hang onto :D Remember hes used to screamers ;)
-
Supp regs out today-yahoo....
-
yep supp regs out,so make sure you read them carefully before signing.
slightly different format this year.
since the earlier announcements, the event has been changed to a club rather than an open event. No worries,
$15 club memberships available so you can ride, same as last year.We are going to try for an early start to practise, then 2 rounds of racing on Saturday with the SECOND round being the trophy or championship round,so presntataions can be made on
sat night over a few beers.Third round and novelty relay race on Sunday. No age races,4 stroke class depending on entries which means the one bike one class rule applies and sidecars are included this year for the first time.See you there.
-
That almost read like the sidecars could enter the 4 stroke class-now you're talking.
-
You sidecar guys!!! :D
-
Just tryin' to get a few more rides in......how will youse go against us in the novelty race anyways???? :D
-
Hi, I read in this forum that you can get a one day $15 membership for connondale, do I pay this on the day or fill out the membership form on the qvmx site and send $15 with my entry form and entry fee
thanks greg
-
BigT,fill out all your paperwork including the membership form and send it with all money to the address stated.Your membership will be either posted out to you or waiting for you at sign on.Cheers P
-
yes if everyone can get them in asap as Lisa and i will be heading up the week before to help set up .
cheers.
-
OK guys, this event is getting very close so please get your entries off ASAP to ensure you get your name in the program and to make things easier at sign on.It will also help the race secretary to get the race order sorted. If you've ridden this event before you know its a great weekend and if you haven't you don't want to miss it. :D
-
If we can get everyone motivated we should have 10-12 outfits and that's without any from south!!!
We are on a role. We had 9 at Nudgee last week-end which make the first corner look a bit sketchy-though not all of them made it there in the 1st race and we only lasted 50 yds past it before the flywheel let go again.
The racing was great to watch though and the last handicap race was a real beauty.
ROLL ON Conondale......
-
that'll be great.Hope the starting grid is wide enough :D
-
Been asked a few questions about entry forms etc.Go to www.qvmx.com click on calender, connondale should come up and all the supp regs, entry forms and club joining froms can be accessed from there.Down load them, fill em in and get em to the nominated address asap.We have reached the deadline for ordering polo shirts so they are no longer available but t-shirts will be available on the weekend.
-
The grid is plenty wide enough-it's the first corner that you have to worry about :D :D :D
No more polos-that's a bummer. I was saying at Nudgee that I have plenty of t shirts and would like a polo or hoodie or 2
-
Only one outfit from central Qld.. But get this..... Matt is going to swing for me for a change. ;D
-
entry form has no 4 stroke class
-
Four stroke go in with the sidecars-but you have to carry a pillion-backwards :D :D
-
spoke to race sec re 4stroke.He will run them depending on numbers would like 6-10.Nominate on the day.
we should be able to get that many together!!!
-
Hi to all,
Next Friday 29th July is the cut off for receiving postal entries. Please print them up and get them in as soon as possible.
Entries will still be accepted on the day but will incur a $20 late fee
Regards Lisa
:)

Who's attending... ;D
There once was a bloke named Doc,
who'd work on Suzuki's around the clock.
He'd ride hard up the hills and never have a spill
and being little he'd never skittle.
Doc will lend a hand in all things Japaneez and
have the knowledge to make you wheeze.
It'd be right proper if you could greet this little rock hopper in Conondale Country ;D
-
:D ok you can greet Doc and 100 + other riders this weekend at the Wiltec Connondale Classic. If you're still undecided you can still enter on arrival but will have to fork out 20 bucks extra.Sign on and Scrutineering from Friday arvo.See you there :o
-
forgot to mention,so far 180 bikes entered so its gonna be a big one!
-
Tracks sorted, Fruitcake is out there doing his best work with his dozer.
This is going to be a great weekend.
See-ya there
-
Lots of rain here at Caloundra on the Sunny Coast last night and today, has anybody been to the track to see how much rain they have had???
Tim
-
Heading out from BrisVegas now.... No rain for since CD8, now it decides to rain again... GRRR!! >:(
-
Just checked the radar and it's heavy showers scudding over.
-
I'll bring my gumboots then......again. ???
-
Good for Ducks ;D
-
Season is over for ducks.
-
should be ok i work in maleny
not a lot of rain today
probably be perfect ;)
-
We had a light shower around 10 -11am, but as said earlier, there hasn't been any rain since cd8. The water truck was going around today and the sprinklers were running flat out. As Russell said, should be perfect.
-
We were at the track today, great turnout, some great looking bikes, great people & the weather gods smiled upon us, but on the down side, there were a couple of injuries requiring transportation to hospital, we wish those injured a speedy recovery. Wont be there for the conclusion of the Sunday event, but sure there will be plenty others from this forum who will add concluding feedback.
Thanks to all those involved in organising this great event.

Just spoke to Wayne Skyring who was one of the guys carted off by the ambo's. Pretty good news relatively, busted ribs, sore shoulder and leg. Sore but should be ok given a week or two. Great weekend, great weather as it turned out. Great event, well put together guys, I had a ball.
-
A special thanks to all involved in putting this memorable event together, without you it would not have been possible. Younger Bro had a ball and said he will be back next year.
As usual the side car boys put on a brilliant display ;D

A great weekend had by the sidecar teams with 8 turning up and 7 making it all the way on saturday and 8 today.
Track was very muddy saturday morning for practise and then fantastic for the rest of the racing.
Jamie McMurdo and Wayne Hollaway taking the 1st prize on their development outfit with the 650 GR motor closely followed by David Mattock and Matt Malloney (in the chair for the first time in a while) making the long trip from Moranbah and then my old Wasp 650 with Adam Laman and David Rotherum in 3rd.
Popeye had a shocker on saturday when the EML Yamaha 998 failed in practise (no spark again) and then taking the line with the spare DR500 with Marshall only to have the passenger bar fail.
After almost two years and lots of dollars spent it was decided on sat night to fit a set of points back in the big girl for sunday in a move that saw them lead the sunday final by a good streak only to have a footpeg fail with 1/4 of a lap to go that let a bad starting and fast finishing McMurdo/Hollaway take the clean sweep.
Nick and Isaac Higgs did well on the Norton to stick close to the leaders but after not riding for some months as Nick has been working in PNG, their race fitness was their nemisis.
So as I said a great weekend and a big thanks to QVMX for allowing the outfits to join in on their annual Classic race weekend.
-

Great to see all the riders at the end of the weekend with big smiles.
We had great numbers over both days. Up on last year so thanks for everyone who made the effort to come.
Track was great and a big thanks to Fruity for jumping on the dozer early Saturday morning to get rid of the mud on the track which then made it awesome.
From all reports a great time was had by all and everyone I spoke to said it was great to have the Sidecar guys and girls on the program.
Cheers Terry
