1981 -490 Maico.. 1 hour old race bike. everything new. gussetted , powdercoated frame (roundback) , New Black Excel Rims with Stainless spokes. Thor Swingarm, Ohlins rebuilt by Mickey Kessler,new fork springs and seals, Perfect upper fork tubes, PVL ignition, Proform pipe and silencer, Twin Air filter, Wheelsmith cut cylinder fins.Brand new Alloy gas tank, Renthal Handlebars, etc.
Standard bore engine, new rod, bearings, seals, Brand new kick quadrant, Kick return spring, kick pinion gear, New clutch plates, clutch springs, primary chains,rubbing block. Bing carb just rebuilt.

Go on popsicle....you know you want it....hey, your scabby passenger wanted a rear guard for your shopping trolly and it's been in my van for 1 week now.....I might have to put it out on the pavement for the council to pick up. Tell him to hurry up.

Out of curiosity....I've got two genuine Thor/ Wheelsmith swingarms (not replicas)like on Bills fine looking Maico. I've had one of them for about 12 years and the other about 5 years. What kind of money do they go for these days?

18 months ago you would probably got enough to buy that YZ250A or B on your swapmeet (marks) going by todays prices.
