Just moved house, lost the bloody manual, well can't find it.
How much oil in front forks?
What type of engine oil are you using?

Hi here is what my clymer manual says for forks
rm250 1982 397cc
rm250 1983 641.5 cc
frunt fork oil level
1982 174mm
1983 170mm
Hope this helps

thank you

I don't know if 641cc could be right for the '83 model, that's nearly double the '82 and more than a 48mm modern fork uses.

Tossa - Silkolene Comp Pro for the pre-mix - Light gear oil for the gearbox. You will have to open your wallet though?
Maybe difficult for you ;D

Now I'm confused

I always do my fork oil by measuring 120mm down from the top of the tube with the fork compressed and no spring so don't need to know the actual volume. If the forks don't use all the travel i go to 130mm or if they bottom too easily i go to 110mm... easy!

JohnnyO you were right, found my manual, thank god and yep the unbelievavble amount of 641.5cc
