I fear they are more frightened of us as we are twice as tall when we lumber past.

Don't forget the VMX247 Competition [details on Vintage Track thread, 8th March]. Alison's currently  running at about 7 per day.
The earlier the entry, the better the handicap.

Less than 3 weeks to close of entries. As of today only one sidecar. Come on guys, a month ago we were talking two grids of chairs. No late entries will be accepted, so get the word around to your people and let's put on a show.

Hey EML--they don't call me "urger" for nothing and you must realise we are only looking after your interests to ensure you don't miss out on the good things in life.
Slides, entries are running similar to Griffith at this stage, but the support from the locals is a bit underwhelming. No Queensland jokes please.

The locals should be ashamed of themselves Col, this event doesn't travel north very often.
Maybe you could ask the race secretary to ask her father to have a ride in the really old blokes class, he'll kill me if she does.
No offence meant Col.

Nothing to do with sidecars but what class of bike can someone ride in the super seniors class Col?
Any bike that is legitimately entered on the programme?

Entries close in two and a half weeks, and at the moment are running slightly ahead of Griffith at the same time out.
Superseniors is open to any rider over 70, on any Pre75 or earlier bike. Our oldest entry to date is 79.
Depending on entries, we may run it as an "all powers" race, or on a points basis as has been done in the past. Either way they get the same MA medal.
The Superseniors are also able to race in the 60+ classes, and of course open classes.
As for the Queenslanders, I have faith they'll all enter in a few days. I note the pigs are fuelled up though.

Results in and EML Norton MX outfit of Nick Higgs won both Aussie titles beating the midgets(kneelers).
Congrats to Jamie McMurdo and Wayne Hollaway by showing that a well set-up 'big wheeler' can get it done.
Popeye and I did ok when Ronnies EML Yamaha was running right winning a couple and finishing second in a couple more but 2 DNSs and 1 DNF didn't help at all.
Adam and Dave did exceptionally well on my 650 WASP since it's just on 1 year since he sat his bum on one.

All good, heaps of fun on the track and off it.
But IF any one finds my arse out there can they please return it to me ? i know i had one as it was handed to me over the weekend, but me and robin left it out there somewhere on the track, all i have left of it is a big bruise and a hole were it used to be.

I need to find it before tomorrow before this turns black.

actually what we were planning to do was use cardboard cut out's or these maniquins dummy below and strap them to the bike with a brick, a tool box and wire the bars in a circle but as you can see from our static display in the pits below, they just werent life like enough so that  plan didnt work.  And i doubt 'Madame tussaute wax worx' has a use for so we ended up having to ride ourselves.

Ended up heaps of fun and by the last race getting a second, we might have been gettign the hang of these little buggers.  Well done Robin !

Ahh Freaky-that's not a bruise, you should see Adam Lamans after the Toowoomba sidecar spectacular---black as!!! Now I call him Black RRRs racing.
Check it on facebook.
When did you get that-or was it an accumulation of the week-end?.

Robin liked to stick me into the cones.  I reckon he was just doing it as i could hear laughing.............. that bruise is my entire arse cheek and the red part is the missing skin.  :'( sorry it was an around the body shot and blurred but you get the idea. Kept adding to it all weekend.

I took an even bigger hit on my hip and that still yellow and moving to a new shade,  that one we caught a wheel on that Bump - mound - hole on the inside turn to dog leg, went up high and landed on the back of the tray Bar ( he almost lost me)  fork that hurt at the time.  but i was too busy trying to get back in and keep a hand on somthing to care... ended up stuckout again and couldnt get back up till we got into the larger corner.  But lucky really. nEVER SEND AN OLD MAN OUT TO DO A KIDS JOB  :D

Looking at the bruises, I now know why i don't ride dirt track any more. This was taken back in 1981> Bike was a YZ80 ridden by Wayne Mayfield. I went through too much gear back then.
