Title: kickstarter
Post by: maxi81 on February 25, 2011, 05:18:16 pm
I got a kickstarter priced for a RM 400 from Suzuki and they want $240. I found a aftermarket on ebay for $36. If I went with the aftermarket one would the quality be alot less then the one from Suzuki?

you could probably find a genuine one on ebay from overseas a lot cheaper than here in Australia unfortunately.

I had the same deal today with a gearshaft bearing. Genuine Yamaha part $28 del from the US, local Yamaha shop - $85 ::)  and retailers have the hide to complain about online sellers taking market share. This part is still taking up shelf space somewhere in the world so the storage/warehousing cost argument doesn't hold water. The service I recieve from on-line sellers is much better than that I get at the local bike shop too.
