HONDA  CR 500  1985  been in storage for 7 years and i have never attempted starting it , purchased from a friend that went to work in the mines out west   it has  fmf power core exhust and a flatslide carby the bike is 100% complete as in  the photos.  it is definitely a 1985 model with 60hp as standard.. it has heaps of compresion and all the gears seem to shift fine when its on  the stand. the front forks have good compresion with no leaks and the rear  shock is good also with no rust on the shafts of the forks or the rear shock... plastics are in average condition  as is the rest of the bike seling as is   i reserve the right to withdraw from sale at any time as it is also for sale elsewhere......  contact  0421-711909       if u bid to buy not to look,,,,, no scammers .  NOTE- ATTENTION   9-2-2011    to all the people watching this item  a guy turned up the other day wanting to buy my bike we checked it over and went through it we found that it has a weak  spark  from the plug and after tinkering with it for some time we lost all spark so possible coil - cdi or stator we dont know and we didnt have the knowledge or equipment to diagnose it properly .. absolutely no p..y    p...l    payment.  SO MANY WATCHERS AND EMAILS..FIRST ONE IN WITH $2000 GETS IT.

Can you add any info to this model,,,, is it the last year of 500-2 stroke ....I may have asked this before...
cheers A

Of course you would then strip the overburden off the toy and fit the engine (Ok it is a bit low powered at only a mild well almost stingy 60HP >:() to some respectable MX sidecar frame!!!!

a good buy i reckon, probably need a bit of work, but then all 26 year old bikes will. even though these are the oldest pre 90 runners they are a good ride.
